In April 2010, I wrote a wonderful post called "Apple Are Scumsucking Graverobbers" about ITunes practise of upping the price on MP3s by recently deceased rock stars.
Nobody listened.
But they're listening now.
The (excellent) Houston greatest hits Ultimate's price was nearly doubled by ITunes and the paying public responded by getting very testy. According to contactmusic.com: "One furious Whitney fan said, "Whitney Houston was killed, she wasn't making her label enough money so they are going for one last big sale. Look at iTunes price increase", while another offered, "iTunes increase the price of Whitney Houston albums after her death… I am sure she had a gold tooth, if you want that too Apple?!" Subsequestly, ITunes back off and lowered the proce again.
