1. Stay Useless – Cloud Nothings – near the half way mark on the album, everything that surrounds it is so powerful, this throwback to a the lo For melodic Dylan got short shrift but as songs go it is really an excellent pop tune with an addictive bridge.
2. Coffee Spoon – Cold War Kids – How difficult is it to write a song this good? They've never come close before or since.
3. Little Birdy – Shellshag – Better live and that's saying something.
4. It Isn't, It Wasn't, It Ain't Never – Aretha Franklin And Whitney Houston – Generic r&b screamer with the relatives outdoing each other.
5. Warsaw – Sharon Van Etten
6. Midnight City – M83 – Made em a star but I'll have to wait till Summerstage to figure whether they can maintain it on stage.
7. Switzerland – Daughter – Haunting number with banks of synths, or is that organs, or both, surrounding the ululations.
8. No Love Lost – Wiley – The album didn't maintain my interest, the song did.
9. Just Pray – For Science – You can't mosh to it.
10. Tip Of the Iceberg – For Science – You can mosh to it
