The Black Cards, "Up The Anti: Volume 1" Reviewed

The Black Cards released a mixtape called Up The Anti: Volume 1.  I decided to snag it since it's a free download.  I wasn't sure what to expect, but nothing that bad.

The best part? It isn't all their original work.  It's a collection of crappy remixes of crappy songs.

On it there's a pathetic "remix" of Ed Sheeran's "You Need Me Man, I Don't Need You" and it's complete trash.  There's nothing good about it and it put me in a ridiculously terrible mood.  Obviously the person who remixed it- "Josef III" had never done anything before ever involving remixing a song and just decided to completely maul everything good and talented that Sheeran offers up in the song.  Listening to it honestly made me just want to not review this mixtape at all, however I continued on because I wanted to hear what Black Cards had to offer with their takes on different songs.

Yikes.

Their remix of Gym Class Heroes' "Ass Back Home" is horrible.  At least Black Cards is consistent- they suck at making original music, and they suck at remixing other music.  That's a plus, because you can always know you'll be disappointed.  I kept forgetting that, but at least now I can keep a mental note just to never ever listen to anything BC ever does again.  It sounds so juvenile and it's embarassing.  I honestly feel bad for the band because they clearly have no clue what they're doing.  Who even let them touch garageband in the first place?

The entire mixtape is rubbish, don't even bother downloading it.  Or just send it to your worst enemy:
