That's Paris Hilton explaining how the hell she got the hottest dance duo on earth to work with her on her, er, eagerly awaited sophomore album hot on the heels of the her seven year old debut.
This story proves something I've claimed for a long time, indeed, I wrote a post about how Eddie Vedder has more in common with Liberace than he does with you and me, the rich and famous, even the peripherally rich and famous are completely different than you and me. F. Scott Fitzgerald got it right when he said there are no second acts except when he comes to Paris Hilton or Eddie Vedder or LMFAO – Berry Gordy's son for one, there are only second acts. There is nothing so egregious that a good PR can't turn around for you.
I am not a moralist, I don't see this as being a bad thing, I just see it as being. Paris has proven again and again, the woman has only one talent, besides disgracing her family name, that is self-promotion. In the new world of instant fame and reality shows, Hilton hits new heights in banality. She isn't even the worst any more.
And she has nothing whatsoever to do with music. Zero talent. That doesn't mean LMFAO and Afrojack can't fashion an excellent album for me.
