1. Feelingpulledapartbyhorses – Thom Yorke – I loved this song so much, if for no other reason than the bass licks it runs on, I became a momentary Yorke fan. But the next song not so much, and he brought Atoms For Peace to Roseland and so I passed on it. And any way, the moment passed.
2. She Dgaf – The Internet – So this is the Odd Future portion of the posse and now record label. This is pseudo r&b with digital enhancement and lots of digital digegery and a hook that goes: "Shoe don't care about fuck".
3. Bully – Shinedown – What the hell is happening to rock and roll? This is good band and the guitar solo is thundering and excellent but the song isn't close to being good enough.
4. The Future's So Bright, I Gotta Wear Glasses – Cobra Starship – A really great cover which, if it seems a lot darker then the Timbuk 3 original, is a lot more than novelty hi-jinx.
5. Material Girl – Mick Adams and Company – What's with all this Priscilla Queen Of the Desert you ask? I am going see the show on Broadway next week.
6. Crazy Love – Van Morrisson – Many years after Van testified that Ray Charles was shot down but he got up and done his best, this song off that very same album features an excellent voiced Ray in full growl.
7. The Bewlay Brothers – Rhett Miller – Bowie's classic song for his step brother who ended up in an institution, is given superb clear and emotional run through by the head 97.
8. Vanity Fair – Squeeze – A lovely and extremely cruel song, that can't stop sneering at the working class, pretty girl.
9. Summit – Skrillex feat Ellie Goulding – Sounds like they've piped helium into the studio.
10. A Groovy Kind Of Love – Wayne Fontana – And the Mindbenders, of course. Is there a less groovy word than Groovy?
