Lady Gaga At Radio City Last Night!! Steve Diamond reports

“A TOTALLY AMAZING FREAK SHOW” So sez Steve about Lady Gaga’s concert last night at Radio City.

My good friend Steve Diamond was as upset as I was when Lady Gaga cancelled her concerts last week. We had both had tix for her opening for Kanye West and those were cancelled and we both had tix -me in Connecticut and Steve at Mohegan Sun and those were cancelled..

Me? Although I was letting my niece down, I bit the bullet but Steve, who adores his young niece and couldn’t bear the thought of letting her down, did not go quietly into that dark night. He called Lady Gaga’s record label Streamline records (a part of Universal) and complained. That was on Tuesday. The label guy said he’d get back and Diamond thought “yeah, fat chance”.

There was a better than fat chance. The guy called him back yesterday and gave him the name of somebody at Livenation who had two orchestra seats waiting for him: AT FACE VALUE!!!

His niece loved the show, knew the words to every song, and sang along at the top of her voice. Steve was impressed as well though the best thing about it was seeing his niece have a good time. “People compare Lady Gaga to Madonna, but Lady Gaga has the vocal chops to back it up as well. Alone at the piano singing ‘Speechless’ she didn’t need anything else at all.” Steve said.

The production values are of course a legend in the making but Steve had an interesting point to make: “The production was very good… over the top but simple at the same time,  and their were moments with her alone.” As for the dancing: “The ten dancers were not traditonal, not a chorus, the moves intense with insane energy coming off the stage.”

Lady Gaga is an inclusive artist who respects and loves her gay audience.”She is very supportive to gay rights and  involved in setting up housing for lesbian. Gay, transgender youth, very inspirtional.”

So Uncle, niece and 5000 other people had a wonderful time and I am jealous as hell!!!

Thanks for reporting, Steve.
