Coming off SNL's best episode in around two years, here is more reason to celebrate, next year's model, singer Lana Del Rey will be musical guess on SNL, January 14th. Daniel Radcliffe will be hosting.
Saturday's SNL, starring Jimmy Fallon, was spinning on wheels with a Michael Buble's duets that was outrageously funny. Lady Gaga as a potted plant, a freaked out version of Thom Yorke, and Fallon winking it up as Justin Bieber. Made up for Buble's iffy performance.
But getting Lana is something else again, she is a star even before the first album is released and as hot a commodity as rock is going to get to it 2012. Or maybe not. It is so early, it is hard to predict.
One things for sure, It is a lot more exciting than Michael Buble. If SNL actually manage to up their writing skils to the level of the Fallon/Sanberg mirror sketch, Radcliffe has proven himself capable of handling the musical comedy portion of it.
Might even be better than the Fallon…
