A week today the waiting is over: Los Campesinos new album Romance Is Boring is finally released and from what i’ve heard (four songs) it is their best yet.
I streamed the video for “Romance Is Boring” off Pitchfork.com earlier today and the song is a corker, much closer to Hold on Now, Youngster… then We Are Beautiful, We Are Doomed a hard rock pop slab singalong.
The video itself is a great blood and guts kitchen sink soap opera drama in old fashioned pinks and slabs of red on faces about an abused housewife who gets her revenge by the end. Anything but boring.
