Most Overrated Album Of 2011: Adele's "21"

Do me a favor. Go listen to, not Back to Black, which is a classic, but Amy Winehouse's first album, Frank. Compare it to 21. 21 fades away in comparison, all the humor, sauciness and passion of Frank becomes a dreary, bluesy bore on 21.These songs choke on love, they don't crack a smile, there is no ease and less swing.

How did this piece of crap become a phenomena?

Adele is the chick flick of singers: she is a Lifetime Movie, a broiling, bitter broken psychotic moaner. No wonder women love her. All the clingy, needy, demanding, bullshit men hate in women are manifested here: women saying men are uncommunicative, perhaps heavy metal with its sex and violence is an easy version of the male id. Men think women are Adele and women mistake her neediness for girl power.

Her best song, "Someone Like You" is terrifying. The guy is married and gone and she is still hassling him. Is there a more nervewracking verse in  rock and roll than this one:

"I hate to turn up out of the blue uninvited
But I couldn't stay away, I couldn't fight it.
I had hoped you'd see my face and that you'd be reminded
That for me it isn't over
."

Do the words restraining order mean anything?

At least that song is good, what excuse is there for moldy blues riffs "Rumour Has It",that's the one where she goes after yet another girls guy (all she wants is the guys who are taken)? Or " One And Only" , a Gospel based piano song (she is at her best on the piano) with yet another bloke she is yearning for. And it goes on for days and days and days.

She oversings everything in sight. Did you read Henry Sins review of "Set Fire To The Rain"? Henry loved it. Me? I wanna know how she can react so loudly to such a crappy simile. She is unbelievable, she is like fucking one of those girls who scream if you so much as breathe in her ear. I wanna shake Adele, tell her to fucking relax. Perhaps if she acted like a normal human being, she could keep a guy for longer than a chorus.
