1. Sleeping Beauty: Waltz  – Tchaikovsky – And here was I thinking Walt Disney wrote it, a gorgeous waltz and the lyric when Disney got round to it, was "I know you, I danced with you once upon a dream".

2. Square Pegs – The Waitresses – Theme from the late, short lived 1980's sitcom. Dig the horns.

3. Ka Loke – Makaha Sons; Dennis Pavao – Like tiny Tim going country on the beaches of Waikiki.

4. When You Wasn't  Famous – The Streets, Professor Green –  White limeys rap, almost a changing of the guard.

5. She (Featuring Frank Oceans) – Tyler, the Creator – Scary in its insecurity.

6. Blue Christmas – Lindi Ortega – This fiddling masterpiece of Tennessee country is the best seasonal song I've heard this year. And I've heard a lot.

7. You Da One – Rihanna – This hooks through a gurgling syllables games like certain other songs she's sung.

8. Take Care – Drake, Rihanna – Rihanna ended up having a pretty ace year.

9. Runaway – Silverstein

10. Ours – Taylor Swift
