The new M.I.A. “Space Odyssey” sounds like the remix rather than the original of whatever it is. I listened to it on pitchfork news and it is a very old fashioned bleeps and whistles with M.I.A. somewhere between chanting and singing.
First impression? I am not very impressed with M.I.A.’s voice, she sounds like a reedy Falu, but the backing track is pretty damn awesome. A grower.
