1. Happy Birthday Sweet 16 – Neil Sedaka – an earlier, more innocent, at least publicly, age, finds Sedaka pitching woo from "What happened to that funny face" to "now you're grown up the future is sown up" with a chorus of girls ringing in the hooks. Tin pan Alley never sound so good.
2. Happy Birthday To Me – Cracker – One of the great band that never cracked as big as they should (Gin Blossoms was another one but for a different reason). Killer, killer, killer harp.
3. Happy Birthday To Me (February 15th) – Bright Eyes – Was he 15?16? When he wrote this highly polished gloom folk masterpiece. It is almost a Conor parody except it wasn’t't, it was more like a blueprint.
4. Happy Birthday – Ryan Adams – OK, this might be a Cardinals parody but it is sooooooo good. there is something almost off hand on this rock and roll apologia -in a good way, it is essentiall and effortless.
5. Happy Birthday – Altered Images – Like Siouxie Sue got run over by an ice cream truck.
6. Happy Birthday – Dora The Explorer – IT'S A BIRTHDAY FIESTA!!!
7. Happy Birthday – Loretta Lynn – Now it's the guy on his way to fist city!
8. New Happy Birthday Song? – NOFX – "Happy birthday you're not special, everybody thinks you're a crack whore…"
9.Happy Birthday (Placebo EP) – Weird Al Yankovic
10. Happy Birthday – The Monkees – I guess that's what psychedelic drugs can do to you.
