Since Ceremonials appears to be the flavor of the day with me, I went in search of some Florence Welch tape and came across (well, nicked from Pitchfork) Florence performing "No Light No Light" with a full orchestra behind her at Jools Holland's English music show.
The more I listen to Ceremonials the more impressed I am. It is undoubtedly one of my faves of the year and has at least three standout tracks, but live? Welch is a stoic presence standing stock still in the middle of the the stage like (in Shakespeare mode again) "patience on a monument".
Welch is too much in my good books for me to whinge a lot, I am dying to see her live, so I will just suck her inertia up. On the other hand, aster Tyler the Creator, my next three fave albums of the year are now Beyonce, Dolly and Florence + The Machine.
