Selena Gomez's "Monte Carlo" Reviewed (More Or Less)

I saw Selena Gomez and her the band the Scene late last year at MSG and thought they were good not great but her album, this years When The Sun Goes Down, was very good dance pop. so I went to Monte carlo with an open mind nd got what I wanted: though released by FOX, this is a 1970s type Disney movie for the 21st century.

Selen portrays a middle class kid who has been saving for a trip to Paris after graduating High School. She is joined by her drop out best friend and up tight step sister (played by  Leighton Meester). The trip is a disaster till Selena is mistaken for a socialite and she and her friends are whisked to Monte Carlo for a taste of the good life.

Romance and adventures ensue till everything is sorted out.

Monte Carlo is a beutiful city and the travelogue background is gorgeous, there is a ctually a story to hang ot on, everybody is beautiful, Selena has fun as the horrible socialite and all in all it is as good a way as any to kill a coupla hours, and more if you're a fan or a  tween chick with an active fantasy life.

Musically "Who Says" off Selena Gomez's last album is used on the soundtrack as are a couple of oher tracks.
