Tomorrow I will be at City center singing along to the New York Gilbert And Sullivan Society’s performance of the wondrous H.M.S. Pinafore.
For older Rock NYC readers, you may remember Murray the cop singing “My Name Is Buttercup” from this light opera. The rest of you can take my word. G&S are the exact percusor to the broadway Musical Comedy -not Busby and Berkely but Gershwin and Berlin.
Light hearted, wonderful fun, sung in English, G&S were simply awesome and between American Idol reviews by other Rock NYCers, I’ll review it for you.
