I regret every mean thing I've said about Coldplay, because it dilutes my loathing for this awful awful song.
Not yet on Spotify and with Coldplay's inspired Peter Allen rip "Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall" and Rihanna's personal best "We Found Love" still ringing in my ears, I figured I'd invest a buck 29 on their collaboration.
I even read Rolling Stone on the subject: "its synth-fuzz groove is offhandedly seductive". No, actually it is entirely irritating. The quasi Native American back ground vocals are equally irritating. And b the way, why is everything in the world "fuzzy" nowadays. What he means is distorted. And it isn't that either.
The lyric, well, is it really a lyric?
"Oh you really hurt me
'Cause you really hurt me
Oh you really hurt me
'Cause
you really hurt me
Oh you really hurt me
'Cause you really hurt me
You really
hurt me"
I'd like to really hurt both of them.
The melody is non existence the "fuzzy synth" is irritating as fuck, Rihanna sounds like she's waiting for her manicurist to show up and gives a terrible performance, Chris Martin is worst and the band as a whole stinks.
If the rest of the album is this bad, this one might dog big time.
