For the past twenty years March madness has meant Allman Brothers at the Beacon. I caught em twice and managed about an hour each time before hitting the street (it was the drum solo that ended it for me both times). Well, this year they will be playing at the United Palace on West 175th Street because Cirque de Soleil will be peakin’ at the Beacon.
Ya think that sounds bad? How is this for worse? Cirque de Soleil will be taking over the Beacon from january to June 2010. In the first half of 2009 I saw Regina Spektor, Paul Simon, Van Morrison, and other. The first half of 2010? Not so much.
