1. Palomino – Mates Of State – I know, that's what I thought as well. But really, the rush of love metaphor won't make you puke and the ineluctable chorus is real catchy.
2. I'm A Long Gone Daddy – Hank Williams – Here is a guy with a sob in his voice, even when he is happy (which he ain't here) there is grief undertowing the song.
3. Body And Soul – Tony Bennett and Amy Winehouse – Amy brought the same quality as Hank to her vocals.
4. Arns Aloft In Aberdeen – Joe Strummer – This is a natural anthem with the ego drained out. Pearl Jam covered it recently.
5. Forty Four – Wynton Marsalis and Eric Clapton – New Orleans jazz meets, er new Orleans blues.
6. Every Part Of Me – Steve Earle – I agree with the guy at the show, he shoulda sung it twice.
7. Day's Aren't Long Enough – Steve Earle – Duet with wife Allison Moorer, if you have ever seen Allison Moorer you'd understand why.
8. Boom – Wild Flag – A great track off an album of the year.
9. Girlie Girlie – Sophia George – So much fun, such great rhymes, such a wonderful beat. Can't wait to hear Blondies version.
10. Fall Creek Boys Choir – Bon Iver And James Blake – Arty falsettos
