Dear and the Headlights release demos

Dear and the Headlights put thirty unreleased demos on their MerchNow and are streaming them.

Thirty.

It's insane to think that a band can even think of having that many demos.

They're from anywhere between 2005 and 2010, and there's quite the amount of variety.  I hadn't really check out this band before, and I'd read about them countless times.  Even if they're not together anymore, I still decided to give them a listen.

"Daysleeper" is so fantastic.  Every second is captivating and the song builds and builds.  I just sat and listened to it all the way through.  It really drew me in and is absolutely beautiful.  The band as a whole is so talented and the tune is perfectly woven to create a flawless tune.

"I See The Lion In The Night" is great.  His voice is so raw but the song as a whole is just perfect.  Simple but it leaves an impression.  It's emotional and feels really honest and true.  Every time I listened to it, the more it grew on me.

I love "We Are The Ones".  It's addictive and my favourite demo of all of them.  Something about it has made me listen to it about five times now.  His voice is so gorgeous and unique, I've never heard anyone ever have a singing voice like that before.  The song is haunting and memorable.

"Wake Up, Wake Up" is going on my morning playlist.  I can't stop listening to this one either.  It reminds me a little bit of Bright Eyes, but it definitely has its own twist.  Gentle and sincere, I'm definitely downloading this one.

These thirty demos are so worth listening to.  It's a shame the band isn't together anymore.
