I've written about PJ Harvey's Let England Shake, a brave take on war and soldiers in England -a relation to England's World War 1 poets.
Yes it is brave and I admire it, but I don't listen to it very often. The title first track and the last track "The Words That Maketh Murder" are irreproachable, but in between my attention wanders too much. A solid B+ album, but, on a purely personal level, I'd rather have A Woman A Man Walked By.
Still, congrats to Harvey for winning England's prestigious Mercury Prize. Her second win.
