Madina Lake is back, "Hey Superstar"

I'm so stoked that Madina Lake is back.  After a long and difficult time filled with hospital visits and healing, the band is now back and healthy.
Their upcoming album, World War III, is coming out September thirteenth on Razor & Tie.  They're currently starting a tour, and although not hitting the NorthEast yet, I'm feeling pretty confident they will shortly.

In addition, they released a music video for their single "Hey Superstar".  It's so nice to see them finally back to normal, doing what they love.  They're all smiles and it's really contagious because I've missed them.

The video is phenomenal.  It's so fun to watch and unpredictable.  I couldn't take my eyes off the screen.  Now that the band is back in full swing, even after Matthew's really rough incident, it's fascinating to see them still doing music.  It looks like they're having a lot of fun, and are happier than ever.  It's so uplifting to see.

The song is brilliant.  It's new and refreshing but it still stays true to their original sound.  The lyrics are great and Nathan's voice is better than ever.  It's gritty and raw and powerful.  The instruments have really been stepped up a notch.  The whole song is great, and they've really transformed in the past year or so.  It's their best yet, and I can't stop listening to it.

I'm really excited for their new album, and to see if they reveal anything about their true emotions with the incident with Matthew being attacked.

“You can survive anything,” Nathan says. “Life throws things at you that you can’t fathom surviving, but you can, you must. If someone feels that after listening to World War III, we’ve done our job.”

I am so proud of these boys for overcoming a very scary and serious and nearly fatal event, and expressing it through music and continuing their careers.
