Burning Care Bears At the Stake by Mary Magpie

Girl bands? Not a fan. But regardless of gender, Care bears on Fire sound like a few teenage girls in their bedrooms writing songs, thrown together guitar riffs and weak vocals. Preparation for the Middle School talent show? They’re almost embarrassing to listen to.

“Everybody Else” has a good meaning, but listening to the singer’s voice is like hearing to your little cousin singing at a holiday party.. The garage-band feel makes you ask who produced that song, maybe their older brother?

“Barbie Eat a Sandwich” is another raw, unusual, embarrassing song. A bunch of school girls writing songs and singing can come together in a talented way, but something is blocking CBOF from doing that. Personally, I think it is the singer’s seemingly untrained voice. Who allowed them to record anyway?

Middle school trios just aren’t as good as Everybody Else. Actual Carebears should be offended.
