I like Maroon 5, I loved them when I saw em at MSG. And "Moves Like Jagger" is a good song and shows again the bands (or do I mean Adam Levine) star power. I wish Adam had a wider range but…
And I just about never watch MTV. That reality stuff doesn't interest me at all.
So how about Levine's Twitter: "The VMAs are the one day a year when Mtv pretends to still care about music". The 32-year-old added, "I'm drawing a line in the sand. Fuck you, VMAs"
Now here's a question, if you wanna get morally indignant, why about this? For one day a year, MTV rule the music industry. So good. Why not? I've been to the VMAs three times (as a advertising guy, when they were at Radio City) and post parties. It was a blast. I tried to pick up Cindy Crawford one night (I thought she was gonna gag from laughing) I lost my invite the year they moved it to Loncoln Center.
I love the VMAs. I wouldn't stay up to watch em, but I'l catch em on the reruns or something.
Getting morally indignant about the VMAs is like getting morally indignant about Cupcake Pebbles cereal because they are going kids a sugar rush.
Or about Levine.
Personally, as a personality I like Adam Levine. He is electrifying live. The VMAs are a good way to spend your life. And MTV sucks, of course. But I'm not the target DMA by decades.
