Have I ever mentioned how much I dislike Muse? What overblown crap they perform, they are like U2 without the (long lost) gift for melody. Everything about them is oversized, especially their ego. I am listening to them now and I have a thumping headache. Why are they pretending they're in a Spaghetti Westerm?
Lead singer Matt Bellamy has just had a baby boy with Kate Hudson (who is NOT to movies in the teens what Goldie Hawn was to movies in the sixties) and, man, how adorable.
And we wish em both the best.
But the weirdness of it all is overwhelming. Kate is Penny Lane as film star, every social climbing rock star gets a ride. And, as the Streets noted, it is still a pecking order but just another pecking order. Excuse me for being momentously cynical about every aspect of fame, perhaps a bigger corrupter then either money or fame..
