As I sit with my writing partner reviewing all the amazing bands announced on the Kah Bang Festival lineup in Bangor, Maine, wondering which thought I should elaborate on and share with my friends… The Infinities make an appearance on my iTunes. Yes, MORE Apple placement cause lord knows they need it!
Wait- what's this? The who? The Infinities? Okay. I found my project, this is it: The Infinities. I dig it. Yes. Soothing on the soul and uplifting on the mind. The album title Etiquette so properly describes the gentlemanly vibe of electro acoustic pleasantness (if you can run with that) that surrounds my desk as I tune out and write. UH OH! boom- a guitar solo JUST hit me upside the head at two minutes and thirty-five seconds- track: Free Radical. Nice. I'll have to make sure I see that in person this weekend. Look for me, I'll be the dude with TWEED!
Woody Fuller interrupts my thoughts to tell me of the time he jammed with the band once during rehearsal, "I was just watching, listening and enjoying ever second of what I was experiencing, and then suddenly lead guitarist Yo asks me if I want to join in on the jam.. Not a musician by nature, I reluctantly accept. I jump onto the keyboards, which I hadn't touched in years, and start messing with some chords. Everyone trades instruments and we make some music. It was magical. I now envy all musicians Infinitely more than I did yesterday."
I think we found a winner here. So long as their lively class lives up to their recorded tracks I'm down like James Brown to shout em out anywhere, anytime. See you at KAHBANG.
