1. My Racing Thoughts – Jack's Mannequin – I've liked these guys since they were the only decent thing at Paramore's Summerstage gig a couple of years back. But never thought their recordings quite clicked. This is a superior, Pettyish, power ballad.
2. Best Friend's Brother – Victoria Justice – I was raving about this song, a tween Cyrus type dance track along with handclaps and "BFB" chant, last month. I've now spotified the album and am suitably impressed.
3. Irresistible Force – Jane's Addiction – Sorta RHCP without the bass.
4. They Say It's Wonderful – Tony Bennett – As far as greatest vocalist of all time goes, Tony swings too much for me. Which puts him, what? 10th? 6th? -somewhere in that vicinity.
5.Bats In My Pants – Nekromantix – Yeah, you'd be a wigged out Rob Zombie wannabe if you came from Denmark. Spend all your time fucking tall blonde model type chicks -the only type they had when I was in Copenhagen, and perforrming Satanic Rituals on Big Macs.
6. Everytime I Look At You I see Something new – Arthur Lee – Romantic except he compares her to a Rubics Cube.
7. Taking On The World – O.A.R. – Sounds like their name is Jack and they like to surf in their flip flops.
8. Richie And Ruben – Fountains Of Wayne
9. Dear Candy – Ryan Adams – I wonder if it was his wedding song (geddit? mandy Moore's first… aww, forget it).
10. Lights Bassnectar Remix – Ellie Goulding – these are a few of my least favorite things.
