Family Force 5 is offering a free download of their song "Get Outta Here", just in exchange for a 'like' on their Facebook page. I love it when bands offer free downloads because not only does it allow their fans to get some free music, but also they won't be tempted to steal it.
The song is definitely different than what I expected. Family Force 5 never fails to provide me with great dancey music, with a hard rock undertone to drive it home. However, this song seems to be a bit lacking in the rock department. It's much more techno than I thought it would be. Ever since Dance Or Die, they were heading in that direction, but this is just a new level.
The tune is upbeat and fun to listen to, but there's one thing I don't like. There isn't enough… purity. Even in FF5's most techno-heavy tunes a while back, there were moments where the voice wasn't edited and the instruments were strong. Virtually all the vocals were messed around with and there seemed to be basically no real instruments.
FF5 has grown into a sound that is not only completely unique, but totally powerful and stadium-worthy.
Other than that, the song is really outstanding, and with this new direction Family Force 5 is going in, they're going to go very far.
