Drake's "Marvin's Room" Reviewed

I so don't much like Drizzy. He can't wrap and he isn't the best singer in the world. I didn't like Thank Me Later but So Far Gone was better.if not Kid Cudi. Who, in the class of 2007, felt like the valedictorian..

Drake went deeper into the mainstream and Cudi got weirder and weirder.

But the new sing off his gonna drop one of these days sophomore effort, "Marvin's Room" is closer to the Cudiism of  old.A mood piece of seduction, and the reference appears to be to Marvin Gaye though I can't say I see why. Drake is seductive and hushed, a whispered come on into a different place,. He appears to be trying to convince a girl to dump her guy and doing it very well. The thump of the drums is so deep it sounds trip-hoppy and, Drake is. don't know: depressed? Maybe it is a form of arrogance, not to raise your voice. Plus there is a brief sample of a girl on the phone.

The rap is amazingly not bad; fully integrated into the song the way Patrick Stump didn't manage to with Lupe Fiasco earlier this week.
