1. My Baby Left Me – Arthur "Big Boy" Crudup – They don't make em like this guy any more. I mean, they really, really don't. Cuts Presley's no slouch itself cover, though Presley cleans up the structure some.
2. Sugarcane – Shaggy – Mr. Hotshot killed this on reggae pop confection on Leno a coupla days ago. The rap is excellent as well, all patois rhymin'. I think it might be a metaphor…
3. The Backson Song – Craig Ferguson and Cast – "They eat your snacks, they won't relax…"
4. Born To Lose – The Devil Wears Prada – I CAN NOT WAIT for Helen and Mary's interview and review.
5. Paradise – Buzzcocks
6. Unkind – Sloan – The entire album is as impressive as this excellent single by the alt rockers from Canada. 20 years in, I hope this breaks pop.
7. Crystalline – Bjork – May i begin the backlash, please? This sounds like being stuck at a wedding reception, while the bride's cousin, sitting next to you, keeps wanting the newlyweds to kiss.
8. See How We Are (Remix/Demo Version) – X – Folkier, swingier. Great song, by the way.
9. The Adventures Of Rain Dead Maggie – Red Hot Chili Peppers – Wow, talk about not missing a beat. This is RHCP one oh one, from its bluesy staccato rhythm to opening line, "Lipstick junkie better get funky" we've been been here before and are happy to be back.
10. Good Ship Lollipop – Tiny Tim
