I haven't seen Portihead live since the 1990s, when I saw them at Roseland for that gig they made into an album. And a goodie. I did see Beak last year (as did Alyson) and we were both impressed.
So now comes news that following the band's curating of All Tomorrow's Parties at the Concention center in Asbury Park, Portishead are playing October 4th, 5th at the Hammerstein Ballroom.
Although the only new release is the late 2009 track "Chasing The Tear" , it is a nothing shore of excellent song.
And any way, no new material means MORE OLDIES BUT GOLDIES!!!
The presale is off the Live Nation app for iphone on Thursday 7/14 at 10am.
A must see.
