After telling Rolling Stone that Bright Eyes were ending, Conor has backtrack iin NME.
Cornor told RS: "It does feel like it needs to stop at some point. I'd like to clean it up, lock the door, say goodbye."
ANd then he and Mike Moggis retracted the statement to the NME as reported in contact.com: "We don't have any immediate plans, I guess, after this year. (What I said) sounded pretty final, but I don't remember the quote – you can look it up. I think I meant it that day…
"I don't think (this is our last tour)… We don't really take anything off the table."
Bandmate Mike Mogis adds, "Hopefully we'll come back over (to Europe), hopefully we'll make another record."
Be that as it may, The People's Key was a very good and not a great album (the concert at Radio City was the worst I've ever seen him) as was MOF as was Outer South. That would be Conor's last three if you are keeping score. All of them have moments, but none of them are as good as Conor's eponymous solo or Cassadega or I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning (three in reverse).
