Escape The Fate released a music video for their song "Gorgeous Nightmare".
The second I hit "play" I was disappointed.
They copied 30 Seconds To Mars' "The Kill" video entrance in the car, and Alesana's girl talking/narrating idea. Then they also copied blessthefall's idea for having a "music film".
So from the start I was annoyed.
The baby cheetah cub was really cute, though.
And Craig Mabbitt is a sexy beast.
These things aside, the video as a whole just really sucks. I wanted to like it, but the lack of originality, and how many things are put in there for pure entertainment value instantly turned me off. They're trying too hard to bring in the element of sex appeal and shock and taboo subjects, that it takes away from any possible talent, and the story didn't even make any sense.
I expected it to be scary and full of smoke and mirrors, just like I expected ETF would do. Instead, I was bored by them trying too hard to be cool.
As for the song, it's nothing special. Sounds like everything else "new" ETF has ever done. I was really unimpressed.
Escape The Fate is just a gimmick. Ughk.
