Gary Wilson is one of the best songwriters out there, a jazzy take on r&b that leaves you standing on one leg and clapping wildly. Last year's Electric Endicott was a moveable feast of dance rhythms and obtuse nostalgia and if you have ever seen his live videos it is an arty but not abstract sound that mesmirizes.
News that he is leaving the West Coast for at least one night to play Brooklyn's Glasslands on Friday (yes, FRIDAY -there is a god), July 29th is tidings of great joy indeed. Tix are $10 from Ticketfly and I will be there without a doubt.
