This is the best story ever. Over in England an “The X Factor” contestant was all set to have the best selling Christmas single. Joe McElderry’s cover of Miley Cyrus’ ‘The Climb’ -which sounds beyond hideous, right? was a shoo in.The season finale of “The X Factor” was watched by 10 million people in the UK (I hadn’t realized there were 10 million people in the UK)
Now anybody who saw “Love Actually” -Richard Curtis Christmas Valentine (if you see what I mean) will remeber one of the plots was a race for single of the season (“Christmas Is Everywhere” won!) and yes it is important.
So Tracy and Jon Morter set up a Facebook page campaigning for everybody to buy Rage Against The Machines 1992 “Killing In The Name”. It looks like its gonna lose but give every inch of the moral victory to the Morters. Plus, 20,000 pounds have been given to charity.
What a great story!!
ps it’s a fabulous song (not “The Climb” -“The Climb” sucks.)
pps: I was, ahem, inches away from posting a naked picture of the Rage boys when I remembered I had a thirteen year old correxpondent, whom I hope is feeling better today.
