Susan Boyle’s I Dreamed A Dream is well on its way to being the best selling album of the calender year and it was released November 23rd.
This is beyond hype though it may have something to do with demo (your Grandma just got used to CDs, youll never get her to turn on to mp3s).
I couldn’t be happier for her. At its heart Miss Boyles success is a popular success: it puts the lie to there being no musical center. We chose her and we chose well and I must admit to saying that without much liking her. Susan may be many things but she isn’t hype.
