My Chemical Romance, The Pre Show Playlist

I'm seeing my favorite band at my favorite venue tomorrow.  Finally.

My Chemical Romance, House Of Blues in Boston.  I have waited months looking at the tickets and years in anticipation of this tour.  Its about time and I am more than ready to put on my fan girl and belt out the lyrics like I own them.

In honor of them, I'm making a playlist of their songs that have stuck with me since first I heard of them.  Seems so very long ago, yet each song still sounds as fresh as day one.

1. "The End" from The Black Parade.  "If you look in the mirror and don't like what you see, you can find out first hand what it's like to be me" is one lyric that's not only honest and beautiful, but can really connect with everyone.

2.  "Famous Last Words" from The Black Parade.  "I am not afraid to keep on living- I am not afraid to walk this world alone".  Gerard's voice and the hopeful lyrics have helped kids and those in bad situations.

3.  "Give 'Em Hell, Kid" from Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge.  One of my favorite songs from MCR purely because of the killer bass.  The song as a whole is so beautifully orchestrated.

4.  "The Sharpest Lives" from The Black Parade.  I remember just listening to this song on repeat in my room.  This song was always my go-to when I needed to listen to something but didn't have a clue what to put on.

5.  "Demolition Lovers" from I Gave You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love.  This 6:00+ long song is definitely in my top three favorite MCR songs.  The lyrics are great, the composition and suspense of the tune just completely blow you away as it slowly builds up, then everything breaks loose.

6.  "Vampire Money"  from Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys.  Three words: David.  Bowie.  Reference.

7.  "You Know What They Do To Guys Like Us In Prison" from Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge.  The desperation in Gerard's voice is swoon-worthy.

8.  "Summertime" from Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys.  I constantly sing this song- it's so catchy and mellow.

9.  "Honey, This Mirror Isn't Big Enough for the Two of Us" from I Gave You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love.  I remember having this album in my really old mp3 player.

10.  "Thank You For The Venom" from Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge.  I have no words for the utter perfection this song is.

My Chemical Romance brace yourself, Im coming to see you.
