Alex Day, yet another YouTube-r, and another member of Sons Of Admirals, is just as equally talented as the others in his band.
"Heart On My Sleeve" is a raw and pure and full of emotion. It's a perfect song about a girl, but in no way is it cliche or has anything like it ever been done before. It feels desperate and needy but honest. His voice is flawless and this song is stunning.
"The Time Of Your Life" is my favourite tune of Alex's. It's slow but not boring, heartfelt but not lame, and gorgeous but unique. His guitar playing is intricate while his voice graces over and dances across the melody. Usually guitar and singing alone are boring, but Day spices it up.
"You And Me" is fun and refreshing. His style hints at influences of older musicians like The Beatles and maybe a little sprinkle of Bowie is in there. The lyrics are clean and clear and deep.
Alex Day is someone I can listen to any day.
