Beyonce and kid sister the great Solange Knowles talk music all the time and it might result in some very cool music. English paper the Guardian dubbed beyonce the artist of the decade (I don’t see it myself but…) and she is quoting as telling them: “There’s so many people I’d like to work with still, but I’d like to maybe go outside of the box. My sister [Solange] has put me on to bands like Of Montreal and some other different types of artists. I would love to do something like that on my next album”
Ryan Dombal, the bloke who posted the quote on Pitchfork (I know, but I am so pissed at other people who don’t bother to give Rock NYC props, I’d rather falter on the side of giving too many) wittily added to his post: “I’d definitely like to hear an Of Montreal-style Beyoncé song more than a Grizzly Bear-style Beyoncé song– just saying.” Amen to that, Ryan.
