Since nobody with half a brain believes former Libertine, current babyshambles Pete Doherty supports Nazi policy, his singing of the first verse “Song Of German”, considered a Hitler anthem, was self evidently a provocative reminder that history has a memory.
Members of the audience jeered and booed and doherty was pulled off stage where they were being aired live on radio.
Doherty released an anti-British national Party song earlier this year (a very right wing buncha thugs is the BNP) and there isn’t even the remotest chance he sympathized with the anthem.
The Germans should have shut the fuck up and taken it.
