1. Drunk Girls (Holy Ghost remix) – LCD Soundsystem – Not only is the last minute and a half some of the greatest LCD you will ever hear, but during the rest of the pretty terrific song anyway, it finally dawns on you it's a David Bowie himage. This couldn't be any better.

2. Two Kinds Of Happiness – The Strokes – This is the problem with the new Strokes in extreme close-up. A Pretty good all angles, jingle jangle blueprint with a coupla additional sounds thrown in. Except for the other sounds, they've done it before and better. But, like I said, pretty good.

3 .How I Roll – Britney Spears – Waiting in the wings as a break out hit, it is one long hook plus sound effects.

4. Damn These vampires – The Mountain Goats –  Folk rock moodiness plus best title of the year.

5.Teenage Daughters – Time is different depending what direction you are looking at it from.

6. Tears – Marsha Ambrosius – I am going to see her next week

7. Anna With An E – The Pains Of Being Average – As another band remaked about their own music: this is quite good.

8. Wait & See – Holy Ghost!

9. When I'm Gone – Wiz Khalifa – Moribund motherfucker

10. The Competition – Pet Shop Boys
