The Late Queen Mother's Record Collection Revealed

The Queen Mother , Queen Elizabeth II's mommy, and portrayed by Helena Bonham Carter in "The King's Speech, died in 2002 and a pretty good going 101 years old!

Last week, the Queen Mother's private record collection, something like a hundred of them, were made public. I've been searching for a master list but can't find one, so here is what I have found:

1. Winston Churchill's Wartime Speeches (putting you immediately in mind of King george VI

2. Lennon's faves as well the Goons -featuring Peter Sellers and Spike Milligan

3. Funniest man ever Tony Hancock

4. The King And I -George again!

5. Oklahoma -OK!

6. Paul Simon's "Graceland" -so no bad feelings from the old Colonialist?

7. Scaffold – McCartney's kid brother's 70s band

8. The Desporados Field Orchestra – Calypso from the Caribbean

9. Elgar’s Coronation Ode -Written for Edward and played at George's Coronation as well.

10. La Vie En Rose – Edit Piaf
