American Idol had their contestants sing songs by The Beatles, and I must say that I am disappointed. Some contestants had never heard songs by The Beatles? Really? That’s so surprising to me that I find that nearly impossible.
A good portion of them slaughtered the songs, and I wanted to be deaf. Gross. The other half was too mediocre to hate. I would understand if they had them to Taylor Swift songs, that’s much more to their caliber, but a legend like The Beatles? It’s inevitable that it’s going to be terrible, so why take the risk. No one, really, especially on Idol can do a great cover of The Beatles, no matter how good a singer they are. These legendary and fantastic musicians are being disgraced by these talentless shmucks.
Worst episode of American Idol ever? I’d say pretty much.
Oh and J-Lo cried at the end.. for some reason. I had to bail it was making me ill.
