The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, that ongoing monument to enshrining what was once considered to be a non-conformist form of music, continues to undermine its integrity by not inducting (Insert Your Favorite Band Name/Artist Here) into its hallowed triangular walls.
The track record for (Your Favorite Band/Artist) is unassailable. They have sold millions of records to adoring fans. They/He/She are widely known as one of the best live acts to ever grace a stage. In fact, they/he/she continue to perform in county fairs and biker bars across the country and never fail to get at least one half-hearted sing along. The broad influence that they/he/she have had on popular music cannot be questioned in a world where young people still purchase instruments although they could just as easily be creating music on their iPad. I have personally seen they/he/she on innumerous occasions and they never fail to perform an opening and closing number.
Perhaps a public shaming campaign will prove to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame that we will no longer abide by their insufferable elitism. It is time for OUR VOICES TO BE HEARD and for they/she/he to take their rightful place in the pantheon of rock and roll history. This injustice simply cannot continue. Therefore, I am creating a social media campaign that will explicitly state INDUCT THIS ENTITY INTO THE ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME. Undoubtedly, the board members of the institution that we do not care about and simultaneously are begging to give credibility to our personal taste will not be able to ignore such a long string of capital letters.
