All our Questions Now

Week THREE

Recorded: The week belongs to David Bronson’s eagerly anticipated Questions, an album so good it makes albums a palatable art form and forum with songs so strong they should last the whole year through. Otherwise: Meghan Trainor,  The 1978ers, Kat Dahlia, and Panda Bear all released excellent albums.

Live: Tomas Doncker Band and Manu Koch made for a perfect show at the Iridium. Wussy are better than I gave them credit for. Add it to a long list, that includes Old 97s and  Bright Eyes, that the great Robert Christgau introduced me to.

Tickets: Next week Bjork and D’Angelo go on sale. And I don”t have presale codes for either.

Weather: Freezing

Sports: The Knicks are at 5 – 36 and actually outscored the Bucks in the fourth quarter of the London game… not that it actually helped.

Television: Woody Allen signed on with to produce a TV show and I just bought the Munsters 2nd season on ITunes… it must all mean something,

Religion: Pope Francis thinks if someone insults your mother you have every right to punch em and and he may have a point as well. What was all that turn the other cheek crap about any way? What did Jesus know? Go for it Pope Francis, or can I call you Frankie? The infallible one has the world on a string and there ain’t a damn thing the Catholic Church can do about it Punch thy neighbor…
