Ugh Ugh Ugh.
I’ve been on tour twice in my life and I thought it was the most loathsome experience known to mankind. An endless, tedious road added by an empty club. You wanna know what ugly looks like? Try an empty rock club. It’s like hooking up with a 34 year old chick, waking up, and discovering she is 54.
Musicians, maybe just people, like the intensity of the experience but if you’ve ever read Juliana Hatfield, you’ll know how difficult it really is. to move in small clubs concentric circles.
Look, I realize that for me going to Brooklyn to see a set is punishment . But the endless stop and start of a tour is punishing.
