blurring the lines
blurring the lines

1. Come Get It Babe – Pharrell – The live version off the Spring Session from Webster Hall and it sounds very good indeed, saving the track from deep album obscurity plus the “heys” now sound like a Williams tic but a good tic (it is all over “Blurred Lines” as well) and the track isn’t hip hop -not even the production, it is funk – A-

2. Pauper’s Dough – King Creosote – I really wanted to see “From Scotland With Love” but you could only view it in the UK and I didn’t feel like the trip – C-

3. Adult Diversions – Alvvays – All this indie pop sounds the same, this is the echoey vocals, deep guitar mix melody stuff – B

4. No Fear – Common – This sounds very strange indeed in a kinda obvious way. I mean, “Juicy”? Really? – C+

5. Dub Sac- Ab Soul – Subject matter ain’t much bt the hook is really hook-y – B+

6. Millenia – Crown The empire – The first 30 seconds are pretty good but then it derails big time – C-

7. Angel Flying Too Close To The Ground – Bores the fuck out of me – C+

8. You Don’t Know Hot It feels – Tom Petty – Masterpiece about identity crises – A+

9. Diamonds – Common, Big Sean – I guess this is’t bad so I also guess Commin just drags me – C+

10. Schley – Joyce Manor – The middle aged critics don’t know but the little girls understand – C-
