Sting And Paul Simon
Sting And Paul Simon

Paul Simon? The boy with the thorn in his side.  The thorn’s name?  Sting , of course. The thought of these two together at last fills me with some unnamed and unknowable dread. It is a horrifying concept of finality, death, despair, the great unknown. The horror, the horror. So why am I going to see em at MSG on Wednesday March 6 th? I dunno, the shits and giggles.

Tuesday – Schoolboy Q – Best Buy – This Black Hippy is so good I wish he had more than his weed on his mind, Oxymoron is a completely pleasant surprise

Tuesday – George Clinton – BB Kings – A little disappointing last time I saw him at this venue, he was probably just pissed off becomes all the thousands of rappers who stole his material don’t have to pay him royalties.

Tuesday – Cheatahs – Baby’s All Right – Buzz band but their debut album of fuzz guitars is good enough to make you think they may have a point.

Friday – Robin Thicke – Yeah, we are all over “Blurred Lines” but even so, he was pretty good at Jingle Ball last year.

Friday – Jimmy Webb – Iridium – At the very least he wrote two of the greatest songs of all time.

Saturday – Richard Barone – Mexicali – I wonder if my buddy Robert Ross is going?
