CMT Crossroads: The Pretenders & Faith Hill Live From the Pepsi Super Bowl Fan Jam -By Helen Bach

“I come from a rock mentality, so I like a bit of chaos. It’s a gig, y’know? If someone asks me to sing or play, that’s what I do. It’s just a show. It’s just eight songs. What do you have to know?
We’ll figure it out.”
Ah Chrissie darling how I love you and these shoes…
10 p.m. est on Saturday, the eve of Super Bowl XLV, at the Verizon Theater in Grand Prairie, Texas. It marks just the second live “Crossroads” event;
Faith Hill and Chrissie Hynde pick up on a Country vs Rocker in a mature hoe down sorta way.
This could be epic, Faith Hill stating shes like Chrissie since “Brass In Pocket” for being so ’70s’
Chrissie states:
 “I don’t know much about country music, not because I don’t like it or I’m not interested but…It’s a weird thing, the way the rock industry and the country industry are two completely different things. And I live in England and those guys don’t seem to come over here much, although I know Faith has been here a few years ago ’cause someone I know said they saw her.”
Alrighty then
I’m gonna try to find it on TV tonight, I have a funny feeling this could be the most awkward pairing in a long time.
Oh and Chrissie hinted at a new Pretenders album.. which would make me faint.
Stay tuned!
