The problem with being in love is you can’t be as cynical as you might want to!!!
A year ago I woulda laughed myself sick at the former Boomtown Rats recent comment about his romance with French actress Jeane Marine, nowadays I kinda understand what it means!
In my meetings with people, I am relentlessly cynical, doubtful and untrusting. It wears me well. But love has a way to beat you into submission!
This is what Geldof said:
“Without love things are utterly empty. Now, that sounds too wanky but it’s true. I’m so old, so ugly, I thought love would never come my way again. Then it did and allowed me to write an album again.”
Oh no! I agree!!! If I am morphing into Bob Geldof, a certain young woman of my acquaintance is in big trouble!!!
