Free music is not always good. This compilation of NY metal bands is not too shabby. Crossing hardcore deathmetal pop and techno, its quite a core buffett. NYC Sucks is a pretty fun name too. Though I disagree for the most part- though some parts of New York do suck.
A free compilation of your locals is a great resource. It gets you up and out allows you to support your scene and ultimately make the world a hipper place. I try really hard to support local bands, ya just never know where they can lead ya.
